Stephen Hawking Thinks He’d Make A Perfect James Bond Villain

Now that he’s experiencing all the excitement of Hollywood with surefire Oscar bait The Theory of Everything telling the story of his life (our review), Professor Stephen Hawking fancies himself an aspiring thespian. Granted, he already has an IMDB profile that boasts appearances on hit TV series like The Big Bang Theory, The Simpsons and Star Trek: The Next Generation, but if Hawking had his way, he’d show off his darker, more devilish side to the world by taking on an iconic role in one of the film industry’s most successful franchises – James Bond.

In an interview with Wired for the upcoming January issue, Hawking claims that he’d like to make us all forget about the possibility of Christoph Waltz playing Blofeld by portraying his own maniacal super villain.

“My ideal role would be a baddie in a James Bond film. I think the wheelchair and the computer voice would fit the part,” he said. (Via The Telegraph)

It can’t be any worse than Gustav Graves and his satellite sun laser that can wipe out entire sections of a country in a matter of seconds. Although, the real villain in Die Another Day was Halle Berry’s acting. As for Hawking’s acting chops, you can be the judge…

And because I know how rabid the Star Trek fans can be if you ignore a show, here’s the clip of Data playing poker with Hawking, Sir Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein. Hawking steals the scene and then some, IMO.
