UK Bookmakers Say Sam Smith Is The 4/1 Favorite To Sing The ‘SPECTRE’ Theme

Now that the 24th James Bond film has a title and cast, the only thing left to announce is which lucky artist is going to sing the theme song. Long before director Sam Mendes announced that the title is SPECTRE and Daniel Craig will be driving around in a gorgeous Aston Martin DB10, it was rumored that the singer with the unenviable task of following up Adele’s Skyfall theme was almost certainly going to be Sam Smith. However, as expected, the “Stay with Me” crooner denied the reports, and everyone continues to pretend like it isn’t going to be him. But seriously, it’s going to be him.

While the song is hardly as important to the film schedule as, say, making sure that people don’t steal all of Bond’s luxury automobiles from a garage in Germany, it’s only a matter of time before the news breaks. That means that the degenerate gamblers of the United Kingdom need to hurry up and get their bets in to William Hill before the fun is over. And sure enough, Smith is the bookmaker’s favorite to sing the SPECTRE theme.

Latest William Hill odds:

To sing the next Bond theme: 4/1 Sam Smith; 6/1 Ed Sheeran; 8/1 Lana del Rey; 8/1 Rita Ora; 8/1 One Direction; 10/1 Ellie Goulding; 10/1 Coldplay; 10/1 Taylor Swift; 12/1 Ed Sheeran; 12/1 Adele; 16/1 Katy Perry; 16/1 Thirty Seconds to Mars; 16/1 Florence and the Machine; 16/1 Lady Gaga; 16/1 Tom Jones (Via Betting Pro)

Theme songs not your bag? Don’t worry, William Hill (and various other gambling sites) have other Bond bets that you can throw money at, including:

6/1 Spectre to be the last Daniel Craig Bond Film

Anything can happen, but he’s signed on for one more Bond film after SPECTRE, just in case you’re considering a wager.

33/1 Daniel Craig to get an Oscar for Spectre

Do you hate money? Instead of wasting it on this bet, send it to me. Or light it on fire. That would be way more fun than betting that Craig would win an Oscar for Bond.

100/1 Queen to Appear In Spectre

Hey, if Billy and Kate can sit next to Jay Z and Dikembe Mutombo at a basketball game, the Queen could show up in SPECTRE. My personal favorite, though, is this list of actors that could possibly take over when Craig is done:

Next Actor Officially Named As James Bond: 3/1 Tom Hardy, 4/1 Idris Elba, 11/2 Michael Fassbender, 8/1 Richard Armitage, 10/1 Orlando Bloom, 12/1 Henry Cavill, 14/1 Jamie Dornan, 16/1 James McAvoy, 16/1 Tom Hiddlestone, 20/1 Damian Lewis, 25/1 John Hamm, 25/1 Sam Worthington, 33/1 Christian Bale, 33/1 Dominic West, 33/1 Gerard Butler, 33/1 Robert Pattinson, 50/1 Clive Owen, 50/1 Colin Salmon, 50/1 Hugh Jackman, 66/1 Brad Pitt

If those names and odds aren’t daring enough for you, maybe you’d like to place a bet that Diddy will land the role next, perhaps in 007: I Thought I Told You That He Won’t Stop. Diddy’s currently at 250/1. Sounds like easy money to me.
