Go ahead, listen to this guy’s voice for a minute or two. Then imagine him narrating your freaking wedding. One dedicated nerd pulled it off.
Jay Greshner, whose fiancee is a huge fan of the game, essentially figured, “Hey, it can’t hurt to ask” and emailed the publisher, Supergiant Games, to see if Logan Cunningham, the most gravel-voiced narrator ever, would help him out. An email conversation or two later, he wound up with four recorded lines, free of charge, that basically had Cunningham calling a play-by-play as it happened. You can listen to them here.
Oh, and he surprised his wife with it, too, just to make a bit more adorable than nerdy. Awww. The only way this could have been any nerdier was if Greshner also had Mystery Guitar Man’s Animation Band play the reception.
