Activision Dropped A Slick Look At Their Remastered ‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare’ Multiplayer Gameplay

The Call of Duty XP fan event is currently going down in Los Angeles and amidst the plethora of tournaments and live streams, some big information has been revealed about this year’s edition of the mega-popular game. As we know, Collector’s Editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will come with a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare — the title that took CoD from extremely popular to a household name. The remaster will be available at launch on November 4th, and according to Engadget, the multiplayer will launch with 10 fan favorite maps. In addition, it was revealed today at the fan event that 6 more maps will be made available as in December. That’s all 16 COD4: MW maps. This is a preorder bonus, people.

Activision then segued to Infinite Warfare‘s multiplayer suite, which looks absolutely acceptable, except it’s just not one of the most classic shooters in history remastered for the current year.

It’ll be interesting to see the varied populations of the CoD servers once the remastered Modern Warfare launches alongside Infinite Warfare. Early impressions paint Infinite Warfare as a damn solid multiplayer experience, but the community seems divided about the space setting. The trailer, after all, is the most disliked trailer in the history of YouTube.
