‘Minecraft: Story Mode’ Drops A New Trailer And Adds John Hodgman To Its Impressive Cast

Have you ever wished Minecraft had a story beyond “kills pigs and pile blocks?” Well, the upcoming Minecraft: Story Mode from Telltale Games provides exactly that. The game looked surprisingly good in its first trailer, and now we have a new, more detailed trailer to show you.

As we see in the trailer, the main character Jesse (who can also be female if you choose) has to set out to find The Order of the Stone: a band of heroes who once defeated the Ender Dragon to save the world of Minecraft. As you see in the trailer, Jesse and his friends do find The Order of the Stone and they team up to, uh, stop some sort of bad thing from happening, I presume.

We also now know that John Hodgman will play a character in the game. He joins a pretty stellar voice cast that includes Patton Oswalt, Catherine Taber, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Grey Griffin, Corey Feldman, Billy West, and Paul Reubens. Yup, Pee-Wee Herman himself is in the game.

The first of five episodes of Minecraft: Story Mode comes out on basically everything that plays video games on October 27.
