Get A Behind-The-Scenes Peek At The Returning ‘X-Files’ In This First Look

The world may be trapped in the iron-like grip of Star Wars mania, but for nerds who came of age during the mid-’90s, the imminent return of The X-Files may be an even bigger deal. The teasers and trailers for the new mini-season of The X-Files have promised plenty of intrigue and new monsters-of-the-week, and now we get a behind-the-scenes look at this new take on the classic sci-fi series.

As he assures us, X-Files creator Chris Carter really got the band back together for this new series, bringing back fan-favorite writers Glen Morgan and James Wong. For his part, X-Files star David Duchovny seems to be excited to be back (or at least as excited as David Duchovny gets), while Gillian Anderson seems to be taking a somewhat odd, detached approach to the show’s return.

“I can imagine what that must be like as a fan. You see these familiar faces and the familiar crossbeams of light coming out of the darkness and hear that soundtrack.”

She’s not excited so much, but she can imagine why we might be. Well, that’s understanding of her. The X-Files returns to TV for six new episodes, January 26 on Fox.
