“X-Men: First Class” comes out in June, so now would be a good time to crank up the hype machine, which Fox did with Total Film, and actually did it creatively for once.
Instead of just giving us boring old cast photos (or terrible kinda dorky cast photos like the one at right), they, or maybe somebody in the Total Film layout department, actually had some fun with the concept of setting the film in the ’60s and made the cast photos as a series of retro magazine covers.
Also, January Jones in a bikini is featured prominently, another highly intelligent marketing choice.

OK, so maybe this is more Old Spice ad than retro magazine cover, but it’s fairly easy to imagine this being Magneto’s actual digs back in the day.
