Comic Book Stores Should Also Beware Green Lantern’s Light

A “Green Lantern Animated Light Up Display” to promote Green Lantern #50 and the movie started a fire at Rick’s Comic City in Nashville, Tennessee, reports Jim Lee and Scott Williams’ artwork (pictured on the left side of the banner picture).

In response DC has informed comic shop owners to “unplug the signs and await further instructions”. Several of the local New York shop owners I spoke to said that they shelled out $150 bucks for the display and now they can’t use them— at least not plugged in. […] As of this time, DC is not offering a refund, recall or credit. [Examiner]

Man, somebody somewhere got the oath confused.  It’s “Let those who worship evil’s might, beware my power, Green Lantern’s light”, not “If you stock one more Rob Liefeld comic, I’mma burn this mother down, right quick.”
