Want To See Chewie Dance To G’n’R?

For those unaware, there is this entire subculture centered around Disney theme parks. They obsessively document everything that goes on at every Disney theme park. And that includes the Star Wars Weekends, done every summer, that are basically what happens when you let modern vaudeville performers get access to a beloved franchise, and what appears to be crack cut with meth.
Seriously, the entire show is pretty bizarre, even when you compare it to Star Wars at its worst, namely the Holiday Special. How bizarre does it get? We’ve got a few videos that illustrate the point, and among other things feature beloved characters dancing to Spice Girls, hair metal, and Metallica.
No, we’re not joking.

Yes, that is Chewbacca, an Ewok Slash, and a Jawa rocking out to “Welcome to the Jungle.” You have not ingested any potent substances by accident.

“Fully armed and operational dance team” just doesn’t have the same amount of danger and fear to it…

Here’s the whole 2011 show. It’s a half hour long, it opens with Disco Star Wars, and trust us when we say it only goes downhill from there.

And the 2010 show.

Here’s the entire 2009 show. Let’s just say while it’s less elaborate, it’s no less insane.

And here’s Vader dancing to “Thriller” at the 2008 show. Seriously.
Thanks to io9 for introducing us to this weirdness.
