“Willow” Gets An Art Contest: The Elora Danan Project

As I’m sure you recall, Elora Danan was the Daikini baby that Willow finds and protects in the two-time Oscar-nominated 1988 masterpiece “Willow.” Since Elora is destined to overthrow the evil Queen Bavmorda, Willow and the ragtag group he accumulates over the course of the story are hunted by all manner of evil baddies until eventually, SPOILER ALERT, good triumphs over evil.

The good folks at Geek-Art recently hosted a three-month-long contest to celebrate both their one year anniversary and the Ron Howard cult classic “Willow.”  The appropriately named the Elora Danan Project concluded yesterday and the results will make you want to kill people with deadly, magic acorns. Winners will be featured in the French Geek Magazine and will receive posters for their efforts.

Above is the winning submission by Carlos Lerms. You can check out the second and third place on the continued page or go to Geek-Art.net to see all of the great submissions.
