Damon Lindelof’s Short Film Starring Thor

Before Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse linked hands with a polar bear and skipped off towards the giant pile of money they made from Lost, he wrote this short film to impress Cuse.  Before they met, Cuse asked Lindelof’s agent if he had anything written by Lindelof he could read, so Lindelof quickly wrote the one-act play “Ollie Klublershturf vs. The Nazis” and sent it over.  Cuse liked it enough to set up a meeting, where we presume they immediately conspired to confuse the hell out of all of us with smoke monsters.

Later, Lindelof got together with director Skot Bright (who sounds like a floor polish) to make a sci-fi comedy short from the script.  They gathered a surprising cast of actors:  Chris Hemsworth (before he was Thor and Captain Kirk’s dad in Star Trek), Rachel Nichols (before she was Uhura’s roommate in Star Trek), Norman Reedus (after he was “Hey, that guy isn’t German” in Antibodies), Zach Mills (Super 8), George Segal, Samm Levine, Lainie Kazan, and Jack Axelrod.  Also, there are copious fart noises and hot Nazis trying to steal a time machine from a child prodigy.  Don’t expect realism, in other words:
