No, Alan Tudyk Did Not Confirm a Firefly Sequel

We love “Firefly” too, and we want a (filmed) sequel as badly as, well, pretty much everybody except the people who actually have to pay for it. But, unfortunately, it’s not going to happen, no matter how much the cast wishes.

Still, that doesn’t stop them from speculating, like Alan Tudyk did in an interview while he was promoting “Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil” (which is a hoot, by the way). Basically he said the cast were too old for a prequel, and if he was going to do it, he’d have a bitter, old Mal isolated on some rock who has to get the band back together and be big damn heroes.

Which we admit would be totally awesome, but the Firefly fan sites seem convinced this means a sequel is in the works. Not so, unfortunately. But, hey, we can dream.
