We miss MST3K, but Rifftrax is still around at least. They even celebrated their 5th anniversary last month. We got them the traditional 5th anniversary gift of wood. Well, more specifically, I offered them the traditional 5th anniversary gift of wood, and they reminded me about the restraining order and told me to put some pants on. Sheesh. Some people.
Anyhoo, they just released a five-minute sample of their Thor heckling, and it is fantastic. It starts with the easy redneck joke and ends with an awesome dig at George Lucas and includes one-liners like “The rarely invoked ‘Why not?’ defense of genocide” and (my personal favorite) “I’m going to smile agreeably and then take my shirt off at the Creature.” Sounds good to me and about half the audience, Thor. Go on then.
