Hey, remember “What The-?!” I probably just horribly dated myself by asking that question, but “What The-?!” was some of the funniest stuff Marvel’s ever put out. It was perfectly timed too; it started right when comics were about to enter the dark ages of the ’90s and pretty much ripped Marvel’s self-seriousness and pretentiousness a new one. This is a comic that started with the Punisher gunning down an old lady for asking an obvious question and went from there.
Anyway, ever since Marvel discovered that nerds like watching stop motion with toys, they’ve revived “What The-?!” as, essentially, an in-house “Robot Chicken” with a better budget and crappier voice actors. The latest Halloween special, though, is genuinely a thing of beauty. If you can use the words “thing of beauty” to describe something that features MODOK in drag. Video under the jump.
