Unlike the gaming community, which gets a break to actually catch up with their gaming, the comics world is going full steam ahead, with the usual collection of interesting stuff this week.
- Oddly, DC isn’t rolling out any of its ongoing books this week. They are rereleasing Absolute Hush, because apparently somebody will pay $100 for that plotline. Probably Jeph Loeb.
- DC also has a lot of video game tie-ins: the inFamous trade hits this week (and is worth looking at) and “Uncharted” begins its six issue miniseries.
- Over at Marvel, “Herc” is unfortunately wrapping up its run with issue 10, but at least it gets an Oeming cover.
- It also happens to be Marvel’s 50th anniversary which they’re celebrating with…a bunch of variant covers. Really guys?
- Dark Horse continues to roll out Bettie Page collectibles like its the only thing keeping the company afloat or something.
- IDW probably has the most interesting licensed properties this week, with the latest issue of “Star Trek” and the surprisingly good “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” ongoing both hitting stands.
- And finally, apparently Archie is meeting KISS, because that plotline wasn’t stale in 1982.
