The Cello Skills Are Strong With This Star Wars Fan Video

ThePianoGuys create a lot of cool videos, but my favorite is their new one, “Cello Wars: The Phantom Cellist”, where Steven Sharp Nelson plays a Jedi and a Sith in a cello duel with a couple of surprise guests. It took over 1,000 hours of editing and rendering to put together the 7,000 frames, 72 audio tracks, and 24 hours of green screen filming.

They used these John Williams songs, listed in order of appearance:

  • The Imperial March (Empire Strikes Back Theme)
  • Duel of the Fates (From Episode 1)
  • May the Force Be With You
  • Star Wars Main Theme
  • Cantina Band (from Episode 4)
  • My Humps

They also have a free MP3 of the medley available here.

[Hat tip and the droids they’re looking for to GeeksAreSexy.]
