A new poster for The Amazing Spider-Man has been released, but the picture above will always and forever be the official poster as far as we’re concerned. The new, less-carousel-filled poster is below along with some pictures and a video from the Los Angeles set. In the scene recently filmed, Andrew Garfield performs a wire stunt where he jumps up a lamp post to avoid getting hit by a car. This seems like the scene from the comics taking place the day after he’s bit by the spider when — despite not hearing the car about to hit him because he has his earphones on — his spidey sense kicks in for the first time and he jumps out of the way, landing on a lamp post. As you can see in the pictures and video below, Garfield is also wearing headphones. I hear he also hates Mondays and loves lasagna.
Anyway, I’m liking the look of the poster and digging how this remake seems to be sticking closely to the comics, plus pictures of Andrew Garfield hanging from wires are eminently captionable, which is nice.
