Son Of Jor-El, Give Zod A Snuggle

LOL WUT?

Michael Shannon plays General Zod in Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, Man of Steel. He’s also the guy who creeps us out playing Agent Van Alden on Boardwalk Empire, and he played a creepy guy in Revolutionary Road (and got an Oscar nomination), and he played a creepy guy who killed his mom with a sword in My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done?, and he’s in Take Shelter (probably being creepy).

To promote the last of those films, he went on MTV’s “Adorable Things” to be interviewed by Josh Horowitz about pictures of puppies, animal noises, stuffed toys, and the propensity to be ticklish. Plus it’s full of deadpan humor from Shannon, such as:

Josh Horowitz: Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

Michael Shannon: I don’t know. I’ve been doing this for 20 years now, and this is where I am right now.

This video is even stranger (and funnier) than I was expecting. Here’s one for the acting reel:
