Jim Sturgess And Kirsten Dunst Don’t Understand The Gravity Of This Situation

Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess star in Upside Down from Argentine director Juan Diego Solanas. Its budget was $50 million, relatively large for a sci-fi romance from a European studio. Dunst and Sturgess play characters named Adam and Eve (seriously?) who live in a universe with two separate gravitational pulls keeping two societies apart but nearly in arm’s reach. Adam is living “down below” and wants to get to Eve who lives in the much wealthier world “up top”, but people from down below are forbidden to speak to the rich people up above because reasons.

Kirsten Dunst described it as an “accessible Brazil” which is sacrilege as nothing is more accessible than Brazil, not even Kirsten Dunst’s mom. BOOM. ROASTED.

The trailer is below and helpfully gives most of the plot away but doesn’t explain where sunlight comes from in this dual-gravity universe or if both worlds are flat or what the f–k. Can they be called star-crossed lovers if there is no sky? How are they getting sunlight, for real? You make me so angry, Kirsten Dunst.  Yes I blame you and your summer teeth* for this script you totally didn’t write.

Yeah, I’m in a bad mood today. So what? ¿ʇı ʇnoqɐ ʇɥƃıɟ ɐuuɐʍ
