- DC is putting out a whole bunch of annuals, including one for “Night of the Owls”, a “Superman/Supergirl” one-shot, and also launching “Ravagers”. Oh, and one of our favorite miniseries, “The New Deadwardians”, has its third issue.
- Marvel wraps up “Hulk Smash Avengers”, which has actually been a really fun little miniseries, puts out a whole bunch of variant covers for a bunch of comics, including one by Greg Land (you in the back, stop quoting the tracer monologue from “Chasing Amy”)…and…do our eyes deceive us? It’s a new issue of “Powers!”
- Image launches only one new book today, meaning it’s a slow week for them. On the other hand, that book is called “The Grim Leaper”, and it’s a romantic comedy about two people who die horribly in the bodies of strangers constantly. So, you know, props for an original concept; we’ll definitely be giving that one a read.
- Dark Horse is putting out the next in the “Empowered” series, for those who like their comics about women with no self confidence getting their clothes shredded (we kid, it’s a pretty funny book).
- And IDW, making the most of their “Star Trek” license, officially launches their “Next Generation”/”Doctor Who” crossover today.
