Shooting At ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Screening Leaves 12 Dead, 38 Injured

A gunman killed over a dozen people during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, CO, this morning.

According to witnesses, the gunman kicked in the emergency exit door of the Century 16 theater, threw in a smoke bomb or some form of chemical weapon, and then began walking up the aisle shooting everyone he saw. He was clad in a bulletproof vest and gas mask.

The gunman was arrested in the theater parking lot and is in custody. His identity has not been released nor has any sort of motive for this act of violence been detailed. Wounds inflicted range from serious injuries to minor.
