‘The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones’ Is A Thing That Exists

We could have used a picture from the movie. We did not.

Are you ready for another teen-centric fantasy movie where just one person is the key to saving the universe? Do you want to watch Phil Collins’ daughter, the wanker from Misfits, and a bunch of models fight demons? Wouldn’t it just be awesome if this movie had a forgettably long title that sounds like mad libs? Good news! There’s a trailer for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones! That’s a real title of a movie! We don’t know what it means either!

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is apparently based on a popular teen fantasy book series by Cassandra Clare, and the lead character is called Clary. So Hollywood bought another dream journal, hoping it could be the next Twilight? Maybe. Lily Collins plays Clary, a girl who finds out she’s a half-angel “Shadowhunter” with the ability to see demons, vampires, werewolves, warlocks, etc. Despite having no training whatsoever, will she become the most important Shadowhunter of all? *fart noise*

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones opens August 23rd.
