‘Watch Dogs’ E3 Trailer Leaks Early, Looks Good

Watch Dogs has a big, fancy CGI trailer that was supposed to accompany Ubisoft’s E3 presentation. Needless to say, it did not remain under wraps.

And if nothing else, it’s a truly pretty piece of work:

If the embed gets pulled, essentially our hero hunts down a bunch of human traffickers, and beats them senseless with his telescoping rod and shoots them with his 9mm before using his phone to mess with the police. It’s nice to see our hero will be putting bullets in scumbags, and some of the features of the trailer hint at gameplay abilities: Being able to knock out the lights whenever you feel like it will be a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, this trailer lacks gameplay footage, and that’s starting to grate a little bit. The game is coming out this fall, is in fact one of Ubisoft’s big holiday releases, and you can’t give us any more gameplay footage beyond a few scraps? Really? We’re assuming the game will be on the floor at E3, but even if that’s the case, it’d still be nice to see a little bit more of the game, get some more in-depth information about it. Ah well, we’ll take the pretty cinematic for now.
