We finally have the first trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier to go with the two posters (one real, one gloriously fake) from earlier this week. This movie opens with Captain America adjusting to his unfrozen life working for S.H.I.E.L.D. in Washington, D.C., after the destruction in New York City. He’s also working with Nick Fury and Black Widow.
Spoiler alert on the following blockquote.
Directors Anthony and Joe Russo are aiming for a 1970s thriller vibe akin to Three Days of the Condor, but they’re not skimping on big, superhero sequences — Cap brawls in the tight confines of an elevator full of bad guys, for example, and a massive S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier takes a spectacular nosedive. [USA Today]
The aftermath of that elevator brawl can be seen in one of the pictures below. Either that, or the picture is a candid snapshot of one of Steve Rogers’ swinging “laudanum fondue” shindigs. No wonder all the guys from his barbershop quartet are dead.
HD available at Apple. Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 4th, 2014.
