Warner just released the second trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug a few minutes ago (first trailer here). It’s the second of three movies based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit — of which we have a Thug Notes summary — and the 125 pages of The Appendices.
Warner also released four new banners showing Bilbo and the dwarves contending with some very large spider webs, Lee Pace as Thranduil, Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman, and Gandalf doing his best “alarmed wizard” look. (The “alarmed wizard” is also our favorite sex position.)
