This Creepy Animatronic Baby Almost Starred In ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn’

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

If you saw The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, you may have been wondering why they used horrible CGI for the vampire baby Renesmee. You may have also been wondering why you were watching The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, why the title is so damn long and pretentious, and what the hell kind of name is Renesmee?

We don’t have answers for most of those questions, but now we know why director Bill Condon opted for that CGI baby: the alternative was horrifically terrible. They made an animatronic vampire baby, and even shot scenes with it, before realizing it was nightmare fuel and had to go. They even nicknamed the little hellspawn “Chuckesmee” after Chucky from Child’s Play.

Badass Digest and /film tracked down a video of the aforementioned nightmare fuel. This video comes from the Twilight Forever Blu-ray set, and it simply must be seen to be believed.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! KILL IT WITH FIRE!

Condon told EW last year, “Chuckesmee was a giant misfire on all fronts. Truly, it was one of the most grotesque things I’ve ever seen. It was a horror show! There was one shot where I call, ‘Cut!’ and suddenly she turns her head and mechanically stares right into the camera. It was incredibly disturbing.” [/film]
