In Forever Evil: Arkham War, for those not following the miniseries, villains have taken over the planet. So what does Batman’s rogues gallery do? Divvy up Gotham into gang territories… and then have a massive villain fight.
That’s pretty much the premise of Peter J. Tomasi’s script, although it’s a bit more complex than that in the actual reading. For Arkham War, Tomasi has taken the time to think out who in Batman’s rogues gallery would win and who would lose if suddenly Batman was no more. It helps that the series features Bane as the spoilsport, a villain that Tomasi has always written well.
Needless to say, though, between Mr. Freeze, the Scarecrow, the Penguin, the Talons, Killer Croc and a whole host of other Batman villains, Bane’s drive to put Gotham under his fist isn’t going to be as easy as he thinks. Then again, he’s got a lot of soldiers, and the Talons always underestimate the people fighting them. Take a look for yourself in this exclusive preview…
