Come With Me If You Want To Know Who Should Play Kyle Reese In ‘Terminator: Genesis’

Paramount, Skydance, and director Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) need to finish casting their Terminator reboot to finish in time for their current release date of July 1st, 2015. Toldja.biz reports the role of Kyle Reese — John Connor’s dad from the future — is down to two actors: Jai Courtney (Jack Reacher, A Good Day To Die Hard) and Boyd Holbrook (Hatfields & McCoys, Gone Girl). They’d be co-starring alongside Game of ThronesEmilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as John Connor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger as either the Terminator and/or a friend of the Connor family upon whom the Terminator’s appearance was based.

The reboot is currently titled Terminator: Genesis and was originally planned as an R-rated movie in a “stand-alone trilogy” which may only be a two-parter now that one of the producers (Megan Ellison) has bailed. Let’s hope they don’t make it PG-13 just because the risk-taking producer behind Spring Breakers and Her has left.

Regardless of whether it’s Jai Courtney or Boyd Holbrook playing Kyle Reese, we all know who should have rightfully been cast…
