Evangeline Lilly Officially Boards 'Ant-Man', Corey Stoll In Talks

Jeff Sneider of The Wrap reports Evangeline Lilly has closed her deal to play a lead role in Ant-Man. We speculated she may be playing Janet Van Dyne (The Wasp), as there have been rumors she would appear, but we’ve also heard rumors she’d play a new character not in the comics: Hank Pym’s daughter. It would be age-appropriate casting, as Hank Pym will be played by Michael Douglas and Lilly’s love interest, Scott Lang, will be played by Paul Rudd.

The Wrap also reports Corey Stoll is in talks for an undisclosed role. If he signs, he’ll be joining a cast which also includes Michael Pena and Patrick Wilson in undisclosed roles. You may not recognize Corey Stoll from his picture, but he ably portrayed Ernest Hemingway in Midnight In Paris and earned new fans in he first season of House of Cards. He’ll soon be seen in Guillermo del Toro’s vampire TV show The Strain, and he also co-starred in Non-Stop. Ooo, I wonder if he played the plane! So talented.
