Somebody Made A 'My Girl' Video Game And It's Appropriately Soul Crushing

Columbia Pictures

Warning: Feels incoming…

If you grew up during the 90s, there’s a good chance your first true taste of cinematic tragedy came from watching My Girl, a movie every kid watched because it starred Kevin from Home Alone, but then, oh no! Kevin (or whatever Macaulay Culkin was named in the movie) got stung to death by bees and, and…is he coming back? He’s not? HOW CAN THIS BE HAPPENING?!

My Girl never got a video game when it first came out, but some enterprising (and cruel) individual has gone and made a My Girl web game, and it’s as soul crushing as you’d expect. The game starts with the instructions to “Accept your fate” then you wander around while a chiptune version of “My Girl” plays in the background. Then the bees start to appear. There is no way to win the game, death and heartbreaking sound clip of Vada crying about your glasses is inevitable.

So, that said, click here to play the game. Have fun!
