‘Titanfall’ Is Looking Surprisingly Passable On The Xbox 360

EA/Respawn

One of the secrets Microsoft doesn’t want you to know about it’s big Xbox One system seller Titanfall, is that the game’s also coming out for the Xbox 360. Microsoft never mentions or shows this version of the game, and it was delayed until a month after the release of the Xbox One version, but now it’s almost here and footage of the Xbox 360 port of Titanfall is making its way online.

So, how’s the game look on the 360’s antiquated hardware? Not bad really — most of the level geometry and detail is intact, it’s just missing a bit of the sharpness and verisimilitude of the next-gen version. The frame rate looks pretty smooth too. If all you want to do pulp dudes in a giant mech and presentation isn’t the be-all, end-all for you, it looks like the Xbox 360 version will do in a pinch.

But hey, judge for yourself — here’s a couple 1080p videos courtesy of YouTube user EliteXbox360Gaming

The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall arrives tomorrow for those of you not ready to upgrade to an Xbox One just yet.
