Bryan Singer Teased The ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Treatment To Prove He’s Sticking Around

The train keeps rolling for Fox and the X-Men movies. Reports that Bryan Singer would go into hiding due to those sexual misconduct allegations are false and he’s still on board for X-Men: Apocalypse.

To drive this home, Singer created an Instagram account and posted one photo to it: A sneak peak at the treatment for the next film. Taking a look and using my Internet sleuthing skills, I can tell that this was indeed posted to an Instagram account bearing Bryan Singer’s name [Ed.- and confirmed by his verified Twitter] and it does have the title “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

Just taking from the snippet here, it looks like we’re going to pick up directly where the post credits scene of X-Men: Days of Future Past left off and travel back to ancient Egypt (the hippest Egypt). There we’ll meet up with Apocalypse and the Four Horseman, I assume some time after building the pyramids and amassing a cult following.

Now what this new film has to do with Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard and The Anderson boys remains to be seen. I know I enjoyed Days of Future Past enough to wash the taste of those bad X-Men movies away, especially considering they’ve been purposely wiped from existence. I think I can say I am still fairly excited for this, as opposed to whatever sh*t pile they are going to throw out for Fantastic Four. Should be good.
