The New ‘Adventure Time’ Game Looks To Be Very Zelda-Esque

Adventure Time is a fun and sometimes poignant series that’s as much about Finn growing up as it is about goofy humor. However, considering the next game from the franchise is narrated by various characters, we’re assuming the goofy humor takes precedence.

This actually follows the series’ tendency to pay tribute to classic RPGs: Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?! (yes, that’s actually the title) played a lot like Zelda II, except it actually worked and was enjoyable, and Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don’t Know! was actually a cuddly Diablo, albeit it wasn’t quite as good as its forebear.

Adventure Time: Secret Of The Nameless Kingdom looks to be Zelda through and through, however, right down to the top-down perspective and the inexplicable obstacles blocking everything. It’s not clear whether it’ll be any good; Little Orbit, the developer, is an unknown quantity. But at least it’ll be nostalgic, and we’ll find out just how much in November.
