A Familiar Face Will Return To The Marvel Cinematic Universe In Next Week’s Episode Of ‘Agent Carter’

Last night’s episode of Agent Carter saw the return of Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark and revealed a big connection the show has with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But instead of posting spoilers, let’s focus on the above clip for next week’s episode that will bring the Howling Commandos to the small screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will maintain connections to the MCU throughout the series.

“We are connected in a very super cool way, up to the very last episode in ways people will not be expecting,” Fazekas tells The Hollywood Reporter.

One of those ways will become apparent with next week’s episode, which will introduce the Howling Commandos, who in comic book lore and 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger are the ragtag team of soldiers under Cap’s (Chris Evans) command. Dum Dum Dugan (Neal McDonough) is the only one from the The First Avenger who will appear in Agent Carter. Those other Commandos are newcomers Happy Sam Sawyer (Leonard Roberts) Pinky Pinkerton (Richard Short) Junior Juniper (James Austin Kerr).

It looks like ABC has learned to deliver what the fans truly want in a Marvel series with Agent Carter. In a previous interview with THR, Hayley Atwell expressed her desire to play the character for as long as possible. Agent Carter survived long enough to show up in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which would give many story possibilities for the series to explore in future seasons.
