Watch This Gamer Power Up With Marriage Proposal At 2015 AGDQ Marathon

During the 2015 Awesome Games Done Quick winter marathon, one gamer walked away with more than an impossibly fast speed-running time.

At the end of his Mischief Makers run, gamer Jackafur talked about how 2014 had been a difficult year and how his friends and girlfriend had helped him through it.

Okay, I’ve got some things to say…Last year, I was in like a really bad place emotionally or whatever, and I wanted to say that all of my friends in the community really pulled me through that…I needed somebody, as stupid as that sounds. There was also one other thing. These guys picked me off my feet, but this girl keeps me always on my feet, so I just wanted to say that. And also, you know, I love you very much, and I’m going to love you forever, so I wanted to ask you if you would marry me.

A gaming event might seem like an odd place for a marriage proposal, but the speed runs on AGDQ are seen by thousands of people through online streaming as well as the audiences who travel to be at the event in person. By proposing at AGDQ, Jackafur professed his love in front of thousands of people around the world, as part of an event that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. What could be more romantic than that?
