As you can see in this promo, Thea rats out Malcolm to the League of Assassins, who promptly abduct him and take him away to be horribly killed. The rest of the episode is Team Arrow realizing that they’re all better off without him and hitting up Big Belly Burger. Well, we can dream anyway.
The main flaw of this season of Arrow is the insistence on the part of Ollie that they need Malcolm. We’ll remind you that Malcolm is a terrorist who, in the first season, tried to kill all of Starling’s poor people. This season, we’ve seen that he was a terrible father well before his wife got killed, and also that he’ll happily brainwash his own daughter if it serves his ends, to commit crimes for… uh… you know, I’m still not sure why he arranged that particular killing. Oh, and basically, he has spent the entire season either directly or indirectly trying to get Ollie killed.
At this point, Ollie should have turned him into a grease stain. We’ll be curious to see what justification he has for not doing that, and liveblogging it, tonight starting at 8 p.m. EST. Join us, won’t you?
