The video part of this promotional clip for Daredevil is of the “motion poster” variety. It looks cool, but it’s not from the show. The dialogue, though, very much is, and it’s some pretty tantalizing stuff.
It opens with what sounds to my ear like Rosario Dawson saying, “This city’s really changing.” Followed immediately by the Kingpin replying:
Not fast enough. Hell’s Kitchen needs to die before it can be reborn.
Which has some interesting implications for Claire Temple, Dawson’s character. Next is Deborah Ann Woll as Karen, saying she thinks people are watching her. That’s followed immediately by Vondie Curtis-Hall as Ben Urich, saying:
In my experience, there are no heroes, no villains. Only people with different agendas.
Next is Dawson, revealing that she knows Daredevil’s secret identity. Which makes sense, as the guy seems to get his ass kicked a lot in the show and could use a nurse. And, of course, Charlie Cox saying that he just wants to make the city a better place. Is it April 10 yet?
