PCs, handhelds, mobile, console, indies, triple A, free-to-play — the gaming scene gets more diverse and difficult to follow by the day, but thankfully, I’m here ever week to guide you through what’s happening with games.

As always, I’ll rattle off five games I think you might want to check out this week. Keep in mind, these articles aren’t meant to be comprehensive lists of everything coming out that week so much as a nice rounded tasting menu. So, let’s get to it…

This Week’s Superhero MOBA

Infinite Crisis (PC, March 26)

Warner Bros. Games’ new DC Universe take on League of Legends arrives this week. The game promises to deliver almost 40 characters, six different “Earths” and, of course, a whole lot of turret-smashing action. Here’s the game’s Steam page.

This Week’s Retro PC RPG

Pillars of Eternity (PC, Mac & Linux, March 26)

Pillars of Eternity is Obsidian’s Kickstarter-funded throwback to classic PC RPGs of like Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale. With isometric graphics, deep character customization, tough tactical battles, and a complex reputation system, Pillars of Eternity promises to have everything you might want from a super crunchy PC RPG from the late ’90s. This Week’s Episodic Game

Yorbie – Episode 1 (PS4, March 24)

Yorbie is a fairly classic looking town-down shooter. Like any good Robotron clone, you’ll be able to blast your way through the game co-op style with up to three other players. Looks like some solid, mindless fun.

Life Is Strange – Episode 2 (PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 & PS4, March 24)

After a bit of a delay, the next chapter in the Telltale-like episodic adventure series, Life Is Strange, arrives this week. The last episode featured a solid storyline, but could have done with more complex puzzles, so hopefully this next chapter makes better use of its time-rewinding mechanic.

Pick of the Week

Bloodborne (PS4, March 26)

It’s been a long wait, but Bloodborne is finally here to put your PS4 through its paces. Bloodborne looks amazing, and it should deliver all the masochistic monster mashing you’ve come to expect from the makers of Dark Souls. Keep an eye out over the next week as we’ll have streams and a review for Sony’s big exclusive.
