Miles Teller Doesn’t Think A ‘Fantastic Four’/’X-Men’ Crossover Is Off The Table

As SXSW 2015 kicks off in Austin, Texas, several big names are in attendance for the annual festival. This includes Mr. Fantastic himself, Miles Teller, who’s there to promote the surprisingly good The Divergent Series: Insurgent (At least, that’s what our Mike Ryan thinks).

MTV caught up with Teller in Austin and asked him about this summer’s Fantastic Four instead. The brief interview has a few good bits, but Teller opened up when it came to the possibility of a crossover with Fox’s other Marvel property:

And when it comes to the Simon Kinberg connection between Fantastic Four and the universe of X-Men, Teller didn’t quite rule out the possibility of a crossover, though he said he hadn’t heard any plans. That doesn’t mean he’s not open to a little chill time with Logan, though.

“I would love to kick it with Wolverine,” he said. “I don’t know what we would talk about, but…”

Rumors of such an event have been circling since 2013, when a supposed Fantastic Four vs. The X-Men film was in development. Nothing has come about since then. Besides, the renewed X-Men franchise seems to be doing just fine on its own.

Still, how would a scene between Teller’s Reed Richards and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine pan out? Logan would drink Richards under the table and make a few inappropriate remarks about Sue Storm. He’d then suggest a “measuring contest” and lose, so very badly.
