One thing we haven’t been talking about too much, in our extensive discussions of the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, is Deathstroke. The DC Universe’s deadliest assassin and most annoying video game boss, he’s apparently been tough to cast. But apparently a male stripper will do the job nicely.
Yes, Joe Manganiello is all but certain to play Slade Wilson, according to Cinema Blend. It makes sense as he’s worked with David Ayer before on the cult action flick Sabotage, and also establishes an odd trend where we’ve seen both actors who’ve played Deathstroke naked. Look, just got to Tumblr and search “Manu Bennett Spartacus.” We promise you, you’ll get an eyeful.
The main question, of course, is what role Deathstroke plays. We already know that Warner Bros. is looking at Ed Harris to play the head of a rival squad of mercenaries, so he may be a part of that group, at least at first. We’ll find out in 2016.
