We know what you’re thinking: The main villain in Suicide Squad is obviously the Joker, right? Not according to a new leak! Spoilers, including guessing at the final twist, below.

According to a scoop from El Mayimbe, so maybe take this with a bit more salt than usual, the main villain is actually going to be minor DC Comics character Antiphon, which is currently looking at Ed Harris for the role. His origin is being rewritten a bit, as he’s been in the comics exactly twice, but one thing that does stay the same is that he’s the leader of a mercenary force named Onslaught even more amoral and vicious than the Squad, if that’s possible. He just also happens to be covered in burn scars and only has one leg, so he probably won’t be a super-speedster like he was in the comics.

Screen Rant speculates further based on this that the final twist in the movie is that Rick Flag, Jr. is working with Antiphon, who’s really Rick Flag, Sr. Mostly, this seems to be based on rumors that Rick Flag, Sr. was a character, and that Harris was up for that role and is now up for Antiphon.

A twist of some sort is probably inevitable, but somehow, I’m skeptical it’s going to be this one. Also, if I’m being honest, I’m more curious to see who might be joining Onslaught than what the twist might be; two villain teams fighting is better than one.
