As much as I love the idea of The Flash remaking Con Air, hoo boy, will we ever turn our brains off for this one. But that’ll only improve the liveblog!
This week, Wells turns on the particle accelerator, which is currently an illegal prison where metahumans are kept without due process. Surprisingly, despite the fact that they’re essentially being held hostage, Barry doesn’t want to let them fry, so they all get loaded up into a truck and we’re off to the races. Also, he trusts Captain Cold. Come on, Barry. At least we get to see a superhero team-up.
Meanwhile, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. celebrates getting a third season by blowing the hell out of everything in a two-hour finale:
When we last left this show, Skye’s mom turned out to be the crazier of her two parents. Which, when your dad is a super-strong rage case who put together a random collection of supervillains solely to troll Coulson, is really saying something! Anyway, she decided to start a war with S.H.I.E.L.D. because, again, she’s nuttier than a squirrel’s food dump. She killed Adama, er, Gonzalez, shot herself to pretend the killing was in self-defense, and now essentially it’s all going to hell.
Did we mention the equally psycho Ward and his face-stealing girlfriend are also in the mix? You know, because there wasn’t enough that could go wrong. But we’re assuming there’s more to it: After all, they’ve got two hours.
