After Konami put the kibosh on Silent Hills, a petition hit the internet that quickly gained traction by fans of the video game series. In a possible reaction to that “call to arms” a rumor surfaced on Friday that states Microsoft may be gearing up to purchase the title with a plan to release it as an Xbox One exclusive.
The folks over at The Know received a tip from an “anonymous source” who also claimed the game was about 80% complete when Konami scrapped it. If that deal does indeed happen, Microsoft is to make the official announcement of the acquisition of Silent Hills at next month’s E3.
Again, this is just a rumor to adjust your salt intake accordingly.
