Watch Two More ‘Terminator Genisys’ TV Spots From Japan

Honestly, you should watch these just for how the announcer says “Terminator.” That might be my new favorite pronunciation for the word. As for the actual spots, though, as collected by Indiewire, there’s some new footage of interest from Terminator Genisys. Light spoilers ahead.

Most of the spots are just recycling the footage we’ve seen from the various trailers, and that includes the spoilers circulating the internet that, yeah, John Connor is a Terminator, or at least a Terminator is running around in a John Connor suit. But two of them do have bits of interest beyond that. Like, for example, this short spot, showing 2010s Arnold fighting 1980s Arnold.

Meanwhile, this longer spot more or less lays out how Judgement Day would get rolling in the 21st century: Skynet is an app now because of course it is! We’re a little surprised by what’s probably Miles Dyson’s son in that shot not wearing a black turtleneck and glasses.

Oh, and, of course, there’s a poster.

Notably missing in all of this is Matt Smith, but I suppose they have to save something for the third act. We’ll find out precisely what on July 1.
