Watch These Great Video-Game Remixes Of The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Opening

Everyone loves remixes of the Game of Thrones opening credits, right? And what better time to compile some of our favorite video game versions than now, as Season 5 ends and our long wait for Season 6 in March 2016 begins. So go ahead, press play on these videos and hum the Game of Thrones theme as you navigate these worlds.

Minecraft

This one is cool because it takes us on a tour through a version of Westeros rebuilt in Minecraft. King’s Landing, Winterfell, The Wall, Pyke and Dragonstone are all represented in a work that must have taken who knows how many man-hours to build.

The Legend of Zelda

Anyone who grew up playing A Link to the Past on Super Nintendo is going to get a nostalgia kick out of this one. It is meticulously accurate in its mapping, and every region drips with the effort it took to recreate the towns, castles and dungeons of Hyrule.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The province of Skyrim gets the accurate Game of Thrones treatment, with several landmarks and key buildings from major areas recreated as geared steampunk structures rising out of the ground.

Pokemon

This opening remix sticks to Pokemon’s Gameboy roots with cartoon recreations from Kanto province, land of the Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green editions.

Super Mario World

Another great throwback to the Super Nintendo era, this Super Mario World remix includes a great 16-bit rendition of the Game of Thrones theme.

Bonus: Old Man Eating Soup

Not a video-game remix, but how can we compile a bunch of Game of Thrones opening-credit remixes without featuring this tongue in cheek Clickhole version that proves everything is more epic with the Thrones theme — even an old man in his underwear eating soup.
