If you’ve played Fallout at all, you know that bottle caps are a precious resource. In our current, non-nuked world… not so much. But that didn’t stop a Fallout fan from managing to collect more than 2,000 bottle caps and convince Bethesda to take them as a pre-order.
Imgur user GatorMacheteJr has been collecting bottle caps for a while; turns out that if you earn two degrees over seven years, you get a lot of drinking done. So he boxed up the caps, which weighed 11 pounds, sent them off to Bethesda, and hoped.
It worked: Bethesda gave him a pre-order. Sadly, this is not an ongoing promotion; he only got it because he was the first to think of it and to box up those caps. Still, he now has a great story, and he finally got rid of all those bottle caps!
