After some back and forth, with rumors everywhere, Marvel and Sony have officially announced the director and star of the upcoming reboot of Spider-Man.
Spidey himself will be Tom Holland, who we’ve introduced to you before as somebody with the moves to play Spidey. The director is Jon Watts, probably best known for Clown, a short film Eli Roth saw and turned into a feature. Which is an… interesting choice, to say the least.
The movie also has a release date: July 28, 2017. In the meantime, Jon Watts has a movie called Cop Car that’s been getting buzz, so, maybe catch that to see what Spidey might be like.
