Anderson Silva Is Obsessed With A Terrible Video Game

Things are not going well for Anderson Silva at the moment. The MMA fighter, one of the best in the world, is in serious trouble over using performance-enhancing drugs and, if things go poorly, may never fight legitimately again. So what’s he been doing to take his mind off things? Playing Medal of Honor: Warfighter, apparently.

We know this because he’s been filming the cutscenes with his phone and posting them to Twitter. Without comment. See for yourself:

He’s been posting cutscenes from the game since yesterday, although he’s been doing this off and on for a while. It’s an odd choice to kill time with. Medal of Honor: Warfighter was a disaster; it got terrible reviews, killed the series, and shut down the studio that developed it. Silva’s video game fandom is well-documented, but this is dedicated even by hardcore gamer standards.

So, what’s happening? Is Silva getting caught up on his pile of shame? Does Warfighter speak to him deeply somehow? Is he trying to get EA to revive the series? Or is he just messing with Twitter? We’re sure we’ll find out eventually, but for now, we’ll be curious to see if he keeps this up. Or switches games. Let’s see him take on Duke Nukem Forever!
