Check Out Footage Of Michael Keaton’s 1989 Batmobile Tearing Up ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’

As we reported a few weeks back, the 1989 Michael Keaton version of Batman and the Batmobile are being released as DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight. Of course, one of the big unanswered questions when this was unveiled was, “How exactly will the ’89 version of the Batmobile work?” Obviously, the old car is a very different set of wheels than the tank-like rumbler you usually drive around in Arkham Knight.

Well, first, I have some bad news – you can only drive the 1989 Batmobile on special designated tracks. That said, those tracks are looking pretty nice. The latest episode of Arkham Insider demos a track based on Batman Returns, and it’s packed with all the snow, giant rubber ducks and twisted Burton-esque architecture you could hope for. If you’ve ever felt like the Arkham games are just a little too gritty and grimy, this is the cure for that. In addition to the demo of the new Burton-esque Batmobile tracks, the above video also gives gamers a look at a new Robin AR challenge.

The 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack, which includes Michael Keaton Batman, the ’89 Batmobile and the new tracks, will be available to download next week.
