Since we’re inching closer and closer to the release of Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice for public consumption, it’s only right that we get to the bottom of how Batman can actually hold his ground against Superman. It comes up every time there’s a post about the film, with most people saying that Superman would pummel Batman into a bloody hunk. Something that Neil deGrasse Tyson agrees with in his latest installment of Start Talk and Tech Insider’s series where Tyson “explains everything.”

But the video doesn’t end there, mostly due to the fact that we need to find a way for Batman to actually defeat Superman. Now you likely think that Tyson might go to the well and unleash Kryptonite rings or magic spells, but he doesn’t. First, he brings up that Batman should actually be fighting Iron Man, another human superhero that is a self-made vigilante with no superpowers. He’d still beat Batman to a pulp, but the fight would be a little bit more fair.

To beat Superman, though, Tyson says that Batman will have to take the fight where Superman’s powers don’t matter. No, not Dave & Busters. He’s talking about the court of public opinion or an actual court, a place where Superman’s powers mean diddly and Batman could essentially buy his way to victory. That is until Joker Robin busts into the court, frees Superman and murders everybody in sight (Jared Leto as Robin, who knew).
